At the beginning of the 2020 Program Year, Troop TX-0098 issued a challenge to our Trailmen. Read the Bible in a year and receive a lanyard pin!

This challenge was the brainchild of our Troop Chaplain and his wife, who happens to be our sister American Heritage Girls Troop Shepherd.

Throughout the year, we have given small rewards to those who have read various portions of the Bible and we have kept a focus on reading through.

This pin is the reward which will be received by all who finish!

I thought we would offer the pin to everyone else in case you wish to offer a similar challenge in the future.

The pin design is obviously inspired by the Route 66 sign, playing on the fact that there are also 66 books in the Bible.  The addition of the Sword comes from the “Armor of God” where the Bible is referred to as our sword!
